How to join Squad

Prescot Open Swimming Squad (Squad) is open to swimmers from any club who has been recommended by their club coach.

For insurance purposes all squad members must be a member of the ASA through their host club, they do NOT have to be members of Prescot Swimming Club.

Structure and Progression

The squad is split into 3 groups C, B and A, each with its own pool times and fee structure.

A Squad < 2:55 for 200m IM
	B Squad < 1:35 for 100m IM
C Squad < 2:10* for 100m IM				* or recommended by club coach

Squad Membership

All fees are annual and split into 12 monthly instalments paid either to the club desk or preferably by standing order. This includes paying over the summer holiday period when the squad takes a 2-week break.

Squad Aims and Objectives

The aim of squad is to support the long term athlete development as set out by British Swimming and has been summarised in a squad document called Guide to Swim Training Duration & Frequency which can be downloaded from the club or squad website.
