The end of April and most of May saw Prescot's top swimmers compete in the North-West Regional championships against the best in the North West.

The first day saw the older swimmers take centre stage and proved to be Prescot's most successful with Daniel Clark getting the bronze medal in the final of the 16yo 50m Backstroke and Charlotte Dodson finishing 5th in the final of the 200m Butterfly.

In the afternoon session Daniel got to the 200m Backstroke final and Charlotte reached 2 more finals. Day 2 of the event and Daniel completed the set of Backstroke finals ending up with 6th place in the 100m.

Later in May came the turn of Prescot's younger swimmers. Jess Berry got the ball rolling with 5th place in the final of the 11/12 yo 100m Backstroke. Joe Burns came 6th in the final of the 13yo 50m freestyle and bettered that with 5th place in the 50m Butterfly final the following weekend. Not to be outdone Jess Berry came 5th in the 200m Backstroke.

The final day of the championships saw Jess and Joe reach 2 more finals in the 50m Backstroke and 100m Freestyle respectively and Jess Deeley had to swim in a swim-off to determine the reserve place for the 50m Backstroke final and proceeded to do a time which would have placed her 5th in the final.
