Saturday 10th December 2011, following on from our promotion to Division 1 of the ARENA League North West Prescot continued to impress in the first two rounds of competition and went into the finals ranked 8th of 17 teams. In the final Gala held at Winsford leisure centre Prescot surpassed all expectations by finishing 1st in the middle final beating the likes of Crewe, Blackburn, Horwich and Hoylake.
The gala was a tight affair with the lead changing hands several times between Crewe. Prescot and Hoylake. With just five events remaining the three teams were tied on 157 points each but In the final events Prescot achieved two 1st places, two 2nd places and a third to take the gala earning 176 points against Crewe’s 169 and Hoylake’s 159.
Well done to all who took part in the first 2 Arena league galas which saw Prescot come 3rd in the 1st Gala @ Bury and 2nd in the Gala @ Broughton. Well done to all those who took part.
